what can you do in 21 days?



We all have habits we want to create or break. The question is, how long does it take to make a change? If you can focus for 21 days...three weeks....less than one month...you can make a true difference in your life. The first week is hard, you have to think about your goal often and make a very conscious decision to stick with it. Week two gets a little easier, but without thought you could let that goal slip away. By week three you begin to feel like a rockstar....it starts to become easier and more automatic. By week four you have got it!!

My current 21 day goal is to drink 60oz of water a day. Sounds easy right?! It has been so hard. I am in the middle of week one and I have to think about it all day. Last night I chugged 20oz of water before bed to make my goal...I was up three times during the night, but hey, I checked the 60 oz. off my "to do" list. I would like pretend that it is my inner desire to crush this goal that had me gulping water by the fridge, but it was not. I created a 21 day goal with 36 other people and I KNOW they are going to ask me about it....hold me accountable.

At lululemon we believe in creating goals...whether they are big goals or small. A huge part of success with these goals is writing them down and telling someone that will hold you accountable. The accountability piece works!

Here is the challenge for you. Find a buddy or a group of buddies and do the 21 day challenge together. We all have SOMETHING that we want to add or take out of our life....add water, exercise, 10 minutes of quiet each day, and hour without our phone, reading for 10 minutes a day.... Cut out snacking, the extra glass of wine, coffee (maybe not all coffee, but the extra cup)...whatever you need. Do it for 21 days, hold each other accountable and see how you feel.

Big goals or small.... working together will help us CRUSH them all!!    Why not make today the first day of your 21 day change?!?!
