a date night at handle

Park City is no stranger to quality eating. For the past few years, locals have indulged in many restaurants with high quality ingredients and we have become quite spoiled by our local eats.

This past summer, a new contender came to town - HANDLE opened in the Gateway Center Mall on the Heber Ave side (not visible from Main Street).

Upon entering the rustic restaurant, the aroma of fresh seasonal ingredients welcomes you and the magnificent bar catches your eye. My husband and I joked that we would love to design our kitchen to fit that bar in our tiny Old Town home.

One of the owners, Melissa, greets all guests with a smile – we have yet to visit Handle while she hasn’t been there. With that being said, she goes out of her way to check in on and chat with each table. We were lucky – she helped us choose our variety of small plates (and maybe brought us a few to try!) while Dani, one of the friendliest servers we’ve ever met, suggested cocktails for us – all of which were fabulous!

One thing is for sure, you can’t leave without tasting the caramel pudding. Trust me, you won’t leave craving any type of sweet (and speaking from experience – I don’t order deserts when I go out to eat BUT I cannot leave HANDLE without over-indulging in at least 1 order of caramel pudding. Hubs and I highly recommend it to anyone!).

We find that Handle can be your dress up date night place, your après-workout happy hour, or a night out with the kiddos for a well-rounded dinner. Hubs and I have encountered all scenes while there! Needless to say, we have frequented Handle in the past few weeks and have yet to be disappointed. You will find us there – probably once a week – throughout the winter with a tasty drink in hand and variety of small plates on our table. Join us!
